On behalf of the village Parish Council we would like to wish you a very warm welcome to Withern upon Stain & Tothill. We are sure you will be very happy here, but to help you to feel settled and find your feet below are a few things that we thought might be of interest.
The Parish Council meets approximately every six weeks at the Withern Village Hall. This is a public meeting, and should you wish to attend to raise any matters you are very welcome to do so. There is time allowed for this at the beginning of the meeting, but you can remain (as a non-participant) for the duration of the meeting should you wish.
The village hall committee organises events throughout the year for the benefit and enjoyment of the village. Typically there is an Art Club and Sewing Group that meet weekly, as well as quiz nights, bingo nights, and annual events such as the Flower & Veg show. Hire your local village hall for only £8 per hour for residents and £10 per hour for non-residents.
Village activities and Parish Council meetings are published in a monthly village newsletter, with details of relevant contacts.
Village amenities include:
- St Margaret's Church of England Primary School
- Withern Methodist Church
- A regular bus service into Louth and to Mablethorpe
Also:
- The Jolly Roger mobile fish and chips every Tuesday, 6:50- 7.00 pm
Details for household refuse collections and recycling can be obtained through contact with East Lindsey District Council. In addition to the comprehensive village newsletter, further information for the village is publicised via the parish notice board, and via the Withern Facebook page.
Once again, with best wishes, a very warm welcome to Withern upon Stain & Tothill
