In Attendance: Cllr Acklam, Cllr Jenkinson, Cllr Hughes, Cllr Laycock
Others: Cllr Sear, Vicky Kendall (Clerk) & 2 members of the public.
Public section: Planning application for a New Village Hall has been submitted to the council, Parish Clerk has support letter to be submitted in support of the application.
The Village hall team would appreciate a letter in support of the grant to assist with the costs.

72. Power Cuts letter to Northern Power Grid – Update – Letter was written to Northern Power by Cllr Acklam, generic letter received in reply, with no specific
73. William Jones Foundation – In 1710 the Vicar William Jones left £50 for the benefit of the poor children of the village, 2 parcels of land in South Somercotes were purchased and have been rented, the rent has been accruing over the years. The Charity would like some new trustees to assist with the running and deciding where the funds should be distributed to benefit the village as the original purpose of the charity isn’t as needed today. New trustees can be nominated. Charities commission would like at least 1 or 2 more trustees.
Cllr Laycock recommended as new Trustee by the PC.
74. Letters in support of New Village Hall Funding – Update
75. Invitation to the Civic Service for Mayor of Mablethorpe & Sutton On Sea – 6th April 2pm – Any attendees? No one wishes to attend.
76. Update from last minutes (if any available)
a. GDF – New Area – Between Gayton Le Marsh & Great Carlton, 6 houses and farm area will be taken, it will be a 1km square area plus the tunnel to the sea. There is no plan yet for a test of public opinion but this is being pushed for.
77. Updates from EDLC and LCC representatives
LCC agreed to Council tax increase by 3%.
ELDC have announced that they are withdrawing from the Community Partnership.
41 national infrastructure projects are currently aimed at Lincolnshire.
Stain Lane will be being resurfaced soon as there is a particularly uneven part.
78. Update from Cllr Sear on Pavements in the Village
This will be in the next financial year (April 2025)
79. Village Litter Pick – Scheduled for 15th March at 10am – Clerk to find out whether they can collect the rubbish on the Monday.
80. Update from Cllr Sear on the crossing outside the school following meeting in January.
No update as yet.
