Meeting Opened at 19.00
No public session, so went straight into Parish Council Meeting.
40. Apologies:
John Thompson had been called away at short notice, was therefore unable to attend
41. Confirmation and Declaration of Newly Elected Members
a) Acceptance of Office:
Acceptance of Office was signed by all Councillors
b) Declaration of Interest:
Declaration of Interest was signed by all Councillors
42. Election of Chairman.
Cllr Hughes Proposed Cllr Acklam to continue as Chairman

Cllr Acklam Proposed Cllr Hughes to continue as Vice-Chair

44. To Approve the Minutes of the meeting held 2nd April 2019 and approve the Chairman’s signature.

45. Updates from those minutes:
Cllr Acklam updated on Potholes on Church Lane. They are now scheduled.
46.Updates from LLC or ELDC
ELDC Induction training to be held on 22/5, whether a new member or not.

Signed the Annual Governance Statement

It was proposed by Cllr Donner, Seconded by Cllr Harvey and Resolved that the Chairman

e. The next steps of the audit process were discussed
f. External audit process and fees
Happy for audit fees to be paid. Proposal, Seconded and Resolved that Chairman and Vice-
Chairman sign the exemption certificate
49. Correspondence/Clerks Update
No Correspondence. Cllr Hughes has been putting anything through on emails to councillors
To ensure quick response should it need it.
50. Parish Litter Pick/Update
7 People volunteered. 12-14 bags of litter were filled. Cllr Acklam said it was a great effort.
Proposing to do another one earlier rather than later before grass grows. Keep eye on it, if
It needs doing again, so can get more help too.
51.Parish Clerk Recruitment
Cllr Hughes has spoken to a gentleman who is retired from ELDC. Appears to be interested.
Proposing a meeting between Cllr Acklam and himself to offer job.
52. Planning
Planning Application N/212/00760/19 Manor House, Withern
No objections were made. Proposed to be passed Cllr Donner, Seconded Cllr Osborne
